Cruise the Gulf of Thailand aboard a 78-foot traditional teak junk rigged with classic sails. Limited to just 28 guests, this full-day voyage visits Ang Thong Marine Park with guided snorkeling, a hike to the Emerald Lagoon, and a sunset cruise complete with an onboard catamaran net and splash pool.
Overview
Step aboard the Red Dragon, a 78-foot classic yacht hand-built from solid teak wood by legendary Phuket shipwright Tuch Rattanasuon. Rigged with a traditional junk sail that evokes the romantic voyages of the Silk Road era, this spacious vessel blends authentic Thai maritime craftsmanship with modern navigation and safety equipment.
Departing Koh Samui in the morning, cruise across the Gulf of Thailand toward the 42 limestone islands of Ang Thong National Marine Park. Enjoy the spacious covered lounge, relax across open sun decks, or lounge over the water on the forward catamaran net. As the only non-speedboat vessel anchoring at Ko Wao's vibrant coral reef, you can snorkel among friendly tropical fish in calm waters or relax above the reef on the floating Aquaglide lounge.
After working up an appetite, savor freshly prepared Thai-fusion cuisine cooked from scratch onboard while gliding past towering cliffs and hidden bays. Explore dramatic sea caves and tunnels by optional kayak, or take a guided climb through shaded ravines to witness the secluded, turquoise saltwater waters of the Emerald Lagoon. The day concludes with a scenic sunset voyage back to Koh Samui, cooling off in the onboard splash pool as the sun dips beneath the island horizon.

Angthong Semi-Private Charter with 28 people max on board and all the private charters
Overview
Sail to Mu Ko Ang Thong National Marine Park aboard a traditional 78-foot teak sailing yacht on a relaxed semi-private day cruise. Capped at a maximum of 28 guests, this voyage offers generous space and comfort compared to crowded speedboats, departing at 9:30 AM and returning to Koh Samui in time for sunset.
During the summer season, scheduled tours run on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, with custom departure dates accommodated upon request.
The journey begins with morning pickup between 8:30 AM and 9:20 AM from your hotel, followed by an air-conditioned transfer to Koh Samui's inner river jetty. Setting sail toward the southwest coast of Koh Samui, the yacht cruises past the Five Islands (Koh Si Koh Ha), known for their traditional bird's nest harvesting caves.
As you cruise across the Gulf of Thailand, freshly prepared appetizers are served on deck while you take in panoramic open-sea views. Keep watch for playful dolphins and resident whales that frequent the waters of the marine park. The vessel continues to the northernmost islands, anchoring off Koh Tai Plao with its hidden lagoons, sheer limestone cliffs, and tranquil sandy bays. Guests can join an optional guided sea kayaking excursion through sea caves and tunnels along the rugged shoreline, or unwind on a secluded beach.
The cruise then visits the remote northern island of Koh Wao for a guided snorkeling excursion across pristine coral reefs led by an experienced snorkeling leader. This classic sailing yacht is the only non-speedboat vessel permitted to bring tour guests directly to this premier snorkeling site.
A freshly prepared Thai buffet lunch is served on board as the yacht glides past dramatic limestone karst formations rising from turquoise waters. After lunch, a dinghy transfers guests to Koh Mae Ko (Emerald Lake Island). A guided trail through lush rainforest and rocky ravines leads to a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the archipelago, followed by a descent to Talay Nai, the renowned emerald-green saltwater lagoon encircled by sheer cliffs.
The leisurely return sail offers sweeping views of Ang Thong Marine Park, Koh Phangan, and Koh Samui, passing the Five Islands bathed in the warm glow of the setting sun.
